NYFW: G-Star S/S 2011 Show

Words cannot express how excited I was that my doll @eclectik1, Alyssa of Fasshonaburu, invited me to be her +1 to the G-Star S/S 2011 show at Pier 94 on Tuesday night. I was through the roof excited. It always warms my heart when people that I have come to know and ♥ through social media no less, show an act of kindness like inviting me to *Rachel Zoe voice* "May-jor" fashion events. We had a lot of fun...and wound up scoring some uber fab seats before the show! (Yes, we had standing initially, but once the no-shows are confirmed, it's a grab-all first. And to think there were people who were scoffing at seats.)

Loved the show! The music got us going. The fashion was gorge. Loved the background sound of the heels walking the runway (very clever). The color palette was just clean and fresh with looks designed in denims, whites, and camel colors. I almost didn't want the show to end. I fell in love with one dress. It was navy blue, with denim on the top, a criss-cross back, and navy blue flowy fabric that moved as the model walked. I totally see me rocking that!

Surprises: While I didn't officially see him, Matthew Settle from Gossip Girl had a seat in the front row (I saw his seat sticker). "The Jays" were there, Mr. Jay Manuel and Ms. J Alexander, and looked ah-mazing. By the way, funny story about the celeb sightings. Alyssa knew just where to stand to celeb spot. As we were walking to "the spot", I chased (stylishly) after "Mr. Jay" and spoke...well...like a fool. I couldn't even form the words to ask for a photo. Ugh! I know. But, he is gorgeous and just as flawless in person. We spotted hottie Tyson Beckford getting out of his car and talking to some people (I have a photo of him, but not with him *le sigh*). Omarion came out and security and staff were quite rude in blocking people to take photos. I'll never forget the red-head. My theory, celebs come to these shows to be photog'd. There was only like 8 of us there trying to get a photo, but alas I got some photos of him...but not the quality I wanted. Fyi, he is quite short...but still cute.

Enjoy my digital photography below...which thanks to Alyssa I was able to get!
