Shoe Love: Flat-Footed

If Posh Beckham could wear flats, then we all can wear flats. This doll said she would never wear flats a day in her life, a quote I have said of some sort in my life too. But back here recently, I have been throwing on flats for everyday, and saving my 4"-5" platform heels for the nighttime. And while it scares me to say this, I heart flats! The comfort. The cushion. The "I can walk 20 city blocks and not cringe" feeling. Since I have been giving my feet and toes a little R&R (I would like to still have working knees in my 80's), I decided to do a little online window shopping and share a few of my top flat picks that don't leave me feeling flat...

Candygram Flat (in Black Licorice). $29.99. Modcloth.com. These are vegan-friendly jellies in the color of black licorice, embellished with the cutest vanilla bow.

Miu Miu Powder Nappa Bejeweled Cap-toe Flats. $476. Bluefly.com. Fit for a Queen...a Princess...or just a fierce NYC girl. They are a little pricey, but sometimes you have to pay the cost for quality and bling.

TARGET Mesh Toe Caps Pumps. $30. Topshop. Your feet are not only comfortable, but they can breathe too. Plus, I love the spectator-esque feel.

Deena & Ozzy Ludlow Oxford. $48. Urban Outfitters.

These are a double-hitter for the season. They follow two important trends: oxford and leopard print. They don't hurt your wallet either.

Fashion High for Less: Dolce Vita vs Alloy

I bought these fab suede wedges from Alloy and fell in love. I got them in Forest Green, because I needed an accent color for Fall. I tested them out when I went to dinner with friends at The Stanton Social (which is a fab restaurant by the way on the LES), and they are comfortable. I will admit they were a little hard to walk in due to some balance issues, but that just could've been me. In any case I am happy I ordered them.

So I was doing my usual shoe search and saving my finds on ShoeHunting, and came across the almost the exact same shoes by Dolce Vita (which I know they were the originals). Either way, I wanted to share the style with you (and my story) because they're cute and work well with simple dresses and your feet need a statement piece.

Alloy Parker Wedges. $32.90. Alloy.com (above)

Dolce Vita Hayword pumps. $155. Jildor Shoes. (left)

Need a Bosom Buddy? Get The Winkee!

Wrap dresses are either a friend or foe right? You have to be an expert pinner (with a safety pin) or just happen to have double-sided tape lying around in order to wear the style with ease. Unless you like having cleavage out, which doesn't necessarily work at your 9-5, you definitely need a bosom buddy. Enter The Winkee. What is The Winkee? (aside from having a cute name) It is a lightweight bra accessory that attaches to your bra in just 3 easy steps. It allows you to wear any plunging neckline top, shirt, or dress while maximizing eye contact. ("Hey, my eyes are up here.") You get coverage without feeling so covered, and it's perfect for travel in a suitcase, or in your purse (if you need to make a quick transition). I can't wait to try mine (it was in a swag bag). I will let you know how it works, so stay tuned...
How do you put it on?

Model Walk: Chanel Iman

Arm Candy: Lena Erzciak Collection

Sometimes I am so consumed with shoes that I totally deprive myself of some serious eye candy. Well, I came across Lena Erziak's couture handbag collection and fell in love. Her handbags are breathtaking! Catering to my Blair Waldorf side, I fell in love with the Edward handbag. Made in calfskin leather, and a suede-lined interior with a place for your cell, and matching keyfob, this handbag features an oversized bow with chain embellishments. Can you say uptown girl?
Edward handbag. $678.

Dear You.

Hey everyone!

I hope you are all seeing fireworks in your own way. I am so sorry for not posting as usual. There are so many great things to tell you, photos to share, events to describe that I haven't gotten around to posting. I had been going through some personal things, professionally and emotionally, that prevented me from talking to you like I wanted to. But I am doing fabulously now and want to tell you what I've been up to these past few weeks. So please stay tuned for my outbursts.

Thank you all for being understanding and sticking with me.
