On the Tele: Golden Globes 2011 - Red Carpet Blahs and Whatnots

Unfortunately, wearing a big designer name doesn't ensure a red carpet win for some celebs. I was disappointed in these stars because either they didn't go with their gut instinct and listened to their stylists, or really thought this was the look for them. No matter what, I heart them for their talents!

The Fashionisette's "Blahs and Whatnots" goes to:
- Scarlett Johansson in Elie Saab: I thought the look was too old for her.
- Leighton Meester in Burberry: Again, a look that was too dated for her. I expected a little more from Blair.
- Michelle Williams in Valentino: I adored the pixie cut, but the daisies on the gown? No deal.
- Julianne Moore in Lanvin: Omg! This was Lanvin and I could not even love. *sighs* Plus, the gown showed wrinkles, which is just unfair.
- Tilda Swinton in Jil Sander: I totally see Tilda being a Jil Sander lady...but this was just downright ill-fitting.
- Helena Bonham Carter in Vivienne Westwood: I think Helena just wanted to be talked about in the spectacle she came in. 2 different shoes, wacky hair, and the list goes on. Whatever look she was going for and public response, mission accomplished.

Winner of the "Blahs" goes to: Helena Bonham Carter. (hands down!)

*for all of the Golden Globes 2011 pictures, thanks to Fabsugar, CBS, LA Times, and Harper's Bazaar.
