NYFW: Rolando Santana A/W 2012

So I missed getting to the tents today because of work, but I was determined not to miss Rolando Santana's show tonight at the Eyebeam Atelier in NYC. I look forward to seeing his collection every season since I was introduced to him by his publicist (my friend) NH a few seasons ago. I never know how he will outdo himself until I sit down and the show begins...and by george, he did it again! His show tonight was flawless. I don't think I have ever wanted a whole collection straight off the runway as much as I wanted Rolando's. Thank goodness I had amazing seats so I could capture it all for my closet wishlist. From the first look to the end, he gave us pieces that we could wear everyday but not look everyday in them. The second look, this sequined jumpsuit pictured right, set the tone for the show which was very Studio 54 in 2012. Even the music took you back...not to mention the big hair that I am obsessed with (things a fashion girl says). His color scheme was black, gold, red, and all that sparkles in between. And did I mention the luxurious mink that accented some of the looks? I died. Of course I noticed the shoes, and the black suede "Malu" ankle booties with gold heels were from his own line. I don't know if any other show I will be at this week can compare to the excitement and perfection Rolando gave me. You knew his show was a hit when he got a standing ovation from both sides of the room...and believe me, it was a big space packed! Congrats Rolando on a stellar collection!!

Check out my pics and see what all the hoopla is about...

See a video of the finale...
