On My Tele: Single Ladies - Season 2

When I heard that "Val", played by actress Stacey Dash wasn't going to be returning to the second season of Single Ladies on VH-1, I already knew I wasn't watching. They ended season 1 with such a cliffhanger, so I guess I will never know who she would've ended up with. And the show was really centered around Stacey's character, not to mention her store was the main backdrop. Then when I saw who would be the new single lady to round out the trio, I thought, a Stacey Dash look-a-like, now I am definitely not watching. Denise Vasi was chosen to play "Raquel"...and even though she gives off a Stacey look, she is playing a totally new character. Now all of my negativity will be turning into a positive, I promise. So when I saw the ladies, LisaRaye (Keisha), Charity Shea (April), and Denise Vasi (Raquel), on a recent episode of The Wendy Williams Show, I started to change my mind a little about the show. The sneak peek that aired had me intrigued. Well, now a super trailer dropped of the new season, and I will say that I will be watching the second season (with disappointment that I won't be seeing Val, who always brought it with the wardrobe!). It's chock full of celeb cameos. But...they still use Val's store as the backdrop. I am guessing Raquel runs it now or Keisha. And I didn't like how they introduced Val not being on the show anymore. They could've said which man she decided to be with. Needless to say, the second season of Single Ladies looks good.

What do you think? Will you be watching?

  1. Oh my goodness I am so happy Single Ladies has returned. I loved last season especially Val. I think I could relate to her more. I am sad she isn't returning and I don’t like the way they explained her not returning either. After watching the premiere on my Hopper since I worked late at Dish Monday I was a bit disappointed on Raquel's acting. I think it could improve but I'll still continue to watch it.
