Fashion News: Louboutin gives Cinderella her new glass slippers

As you all have heard and seen, the Cinderella inspired Louboutins have been released. These glass slippers are for the Disney Diamond Edition of the movie being released October 2nd [see original post here: "Cinderella gets a pair of Louboutins"]. The shoes were unveiled this past Wednesday during Paris Couture Fashion Week. Instead of using lucite, Christian opted for lace to give the illusion of transparency, paired with a glittering, Swarovski-crystal-covered heel. He then added butterflies, imagining a modern-day Cinderella tending to her chores and the delicate creature landing on her (via USA Today). It is reported that only 20 pairs will be given away worldwide this fall, and details of this giveaway will be released on August 17th. Naturally, yours truly will be trying to see how to score a pair (I'm sure you will be too). I wish Christian Louboutin was my fairy godfather.

Shoe Quickie: Big City Sneaker

Ok, I know. I know. It has been way too long since I have been writing on here. It's really a shame. Work has had me really swamped. But today is the day I catch up on some posts...finally! I've been missing you. I was doing my usual online perusing and came across these too cute sneakers. They're perfect for the heel lover, like me, and definitely a conversation starter wherever you go. And the pump silhouette is in pink too! (It also comes in orange.) I found them on Be&D. It's a canvas sneaker with a stiletto pump silk screen. I think they're so necessary for summer. The look of a heel, but the feel and comfort of a sneaker.

Couple News

 Unless you have been living under a rock I'm sure you heard about the Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes break-up. The two have been married for five years and share a child together, the cutiepie Suri Cruise, but have decided to divorce. It's being stated that Katie was the one to file for divorce and is rumored to be seeking full custody of Suri. This will mark a third divorce for Cruise who was previously married to actress Nicole Kidman and MiMi Rogers.

In happier couple news Kimye, Kanye West and Kim Kardashain, sure have been heating their relationship up. The two are being spotted all over the place: LA, Paris, New York and recently at the 2012 BET Awards. Kimye sat front row alongside Hip Hop and R&B royalty Jay-Z and Beyonce. How cute is this pic of the foursome?!

Baby News

In baby news, Grammy winner and powerhouse singer Adele announced her first pregnancy with boyfriend Simon Konecki. Adele took to her blog to share the news and is beyond excited to be pregnant. Matthew McConaughey also announced that he is expecting his third child with wife Camila Alves. Matt tweeted,  "Happy birthday America, more good news, Camila and I are expecting our 3rd child, God bless, just keep livin." Congrats! to both Adele and The McConaughey's.

Shocking News

In the past week two celebs have came out as gay men. CNN anchor Anderson Cooper and R & B singer Frank Ocean have both revealed their sexuality the world. Cooper revealed his sexual orientation after years of speculation. “The fact is, I’m gay, always have been, always will be, and I couldn’t be any more happy, comfortable with myself, and proud,” Cooper stated. Ocean  posted on a blog about a realationship he had with a man at 19-years-old and how he was in love with him. Maybe Cooper coming out gave him the courage to do the same.
