NFW: Nolcha Fashion Week Fall 2013

Last night I attended Nolcha Fashion Week at Pier 59 Studios in NYC. Unfortunately, I couldn't go to the earlier shows, but I was able to make it for the 7:30 pm runway shows for designers Samantha Cole London, Dany Tabet, Lilly Lorraine, and JUNGWON. I always look forward to NFW because I get intro'd to newer designers I never would have heard about. Plus, Nolcha also intro's you to brands in an up close and personal way. This season's feature sponsor was RUSK, but also featured other sponsors such as FOCO Coconut Water, Don Q Rums (I didn't get to try because the bar opened when the show would start), Monster energy drinks, RealBeanz (which I have been dying to try), Smartwater, Clear, and American Airlines. I was able to score some samples from RUSK, FOCO, Smartwater, and I will let you know later if I fell in love. Speaking of shoes (like me segue?), I got a chance to learn about a new-to-me designer, ESARSI. They were also on the runways at an earlier show, so I didn't get to see them in action, but I stopped by the table and liked what I saw. They are going to be launching in the states soon. So stay tuned. I am sure I will be keeping in touch with them!

Loved the detail on these boots!

I went over to the RUSK table and got some great hair products. I grabbed their w8less extra hold you know my strands ain't going anywhere in the wind.

Right before the shows started I spotted VH1's Big Morning Buzz Live with Carrie Keagan Carrie Keagan. She looked uber fierce! After the last show I made my way over to her and tried to find the right time to introduce myself and ask for a pic. She was super nice and complimented me on my pink specs. I love her on the show so it was nice meeting her in person.
I had a great time last night and the designers really rocked the runway...complete with an emotional surprise ending (I got it on video). So without further ado...I bring you Nolcha Fashion Week (in the next few posts). No one was sitting in front of me in the front row, so I was able to nab the seat and snap really good pics. Thanks Nolcha...see you in September!
