Beauty Full: Summer with Elizabeth Arden

Who doesn't love the Elizabeth Arden red door special treatment? I know I do! I was able to rediscover them at a recent Blog Meets Brand event put together by Single Edition Media. Now this summer I can vacation and summer flawlessly thanks to a few of their products and beauty tips. At the event I was able to receive a sample of their Ceramide Capsules Daily Youth Restoring Serum, Eight Hour Cream Skin Protectant, and Beautiful Color Luminous Lip Gloss.
The samples I received.
Let's start with the Beautiful Color Luminous lip gloss. It's hard for me to find the right nude gloss. I find it is hard to get the right shade when you are a woman of color. Obvi I was thrilled to find the shade Latte 05. It fits perf with my complexion. Its quickly become my go-to lip gloss. It gives high shine and a lot of moisture with shea and mango butters. And for a little plump action, it features Maxi Lip - an ingredient that is clinically proven to increase lip volume by 40%. Oh, and as a bonus, the lipgloss comes with a mirror attached on the other side. So now you can apply without having to look for your mirror.

Now the Eight Hour Cream Skin Protectant is amazing. My hands can get quite dry...especially after doing dishes or washing them so much. This skin cream is thick, like an emollient, but goes on smooth and absorbs pretty quickly so your hands don't have that greasy feel. Not to mention it adds a nice luster and makes them feel smooth. You can also use it for minor burns, windburn, cracked lips, and sunburn. It's very handy. This cream is legendary as the name has never been changed since 1930 when Ms. Arden created it.

Onto the Ceramide Capsules Daily Youth Restoring Serum. I can never pass up an anti-aging serum. If you're like me, you're probably wondering what is a ceramide? A ceramide is comprised of 50% of the essential lipids found in the skin and are essential in maintaining defense against sign of aging.

What I thought was nice was that inside each packaging their motto was printed, "To be beautiful is the birthright of every woman. - Elizabeth Arden".

By the way, here are some additional beauty tips from Rebecca Restrepo (she is their Global Makeup Artist) for your next trip in the air -

  • she uses the ceramide capsules mid-flight for extra hydration and as a makeup primer.
  • since skin can be dehydrated during a flight, she applies the eight hour cream to her lips, elbows, and hands. She likes to warm the product in her hands first and then applies for quick absorption.
Happy traveling dolls!

*I have to let you dolls know, this is a sponsored post for Elizabeth Arden. I did receive samples, but this did not affect my review.*
