NYFW: Parkchoonmoo S/S 14

Back to NYFW! I promise I will finish my coverage for you really soon. So after menswear with SIKI IM on Monday, it was off to the Highline Hotel (Hoffman Hall) for womenswear with Parkchoonmoo. This was my first time at the Highline, and let me just say I need to go back to really take advantage of the spot. Blueprint Cleanse mini juices were being handed out by the check-in desk and of course I had to grab one. It gave me life because I was hot and somewhat hungry. I loved the venue by the way, especially the Phantom of the Opera-esque chandeliers and decor. For this season, Korean designer Choonmoo Park was inspired by Le Grand Bleu (a film by Luc Besson) and called her collection Waves. The collection was so fluid, easy breezy, and wearable. I loved the blues, whites, and blacks in edgy yet light silhouettes. And she also played with transparency too. The pieces were airy, sophisticated, imaginative, delicate, intricate, and tailored. I really enjoyed the collection from start to finish.

Here are the photos that made the cut (that I took), along with professional shots of the runway (look for the photo credit).
