VOZ S/S 14
I ended my fashion week with VOZ on Thursday. It was a great show to close out with. The first word that comes to my mind when I think of the Spring 2014 collection is organic. The line just felt fresh, easy-breezy, and effortlessly chic. All of which perfectly describe the brand. VOZ is a very socially responsible womenswear brand which gives back to the community and uses premium, natural, eco-friendly fabrics. This season, the collection, which was their first Spring collection, featured hand-made artwork from Mapuche, Aymara, and Northern
Indian weavers. The runway was transformed into the beauty and soul of Southern Chile and the Pacific coastline. I loved the use of geometric shapes and delicate fabrics such as linens, cottons, and hand dyed silks. VOZ works with artisans in Mapuche communities in Southern Chile and these artisans receive name credit and earn royalties for their designs featured in the collection. It's style that keeps on giving. I am definitely looking forward to their next collection!
