DIY: Car Repairs by Cars.com

Cars.com

**Sponsored Post**

I will admit. I am the typical girl when it comes to cars. I don't know how to change a tire. Or what to look for under the hood. It's sad I know. And I want to get better. You can't always rely on the kindness of strangers, and when it is cold (or super hot) you don't always want to wait for AAA to come. So I made a promise to myself that I will become more car savvy. Now I never thought of Cars.com as a resource, but lo and behold, it is! Did you know there is a whole section dedicated to teaching you how to be your own mechanic? I just thought the site was for looking up cars. Well if you go here: Auto Repair DIY, you will find a whole page with How-to Videos and how to do common services like change oil, jump a car, replace tires, and more! All the basics a girl should know how to do when she is behind the wheel (or even a passenger).

With this season getting colder and snow is just around the corner, there is even a How-To Video on how to get rid of snow and ice on your windshield. There are some great tips...like do not use a shovel to remove the snow, you can ruin your paint job.

So if you're like me, and need help with some car basics, stop by Cars.com and learn how to DIY. It's like having a free private lesson with an auto mechanic.
